Flappy Thoreau chronicles Henry David Thoreau’s journey through the wilderness. He flies among the trees, seeking refuge from the distractions and troubles of urban life. He hops away from the worries that come with industry and jobs. Thoreau is on a journey to find inner peace, to achieve intellectual independence. With each tap of the finger, Thoreau is flung further away from society; with each tap he comes a bit closer to finding himself. The cabin in the background proves to be a persistent reminder that the world is not completely escapable. (Of course, Thoreau doesn’t mind because he returns for pies.)
